A60-year-oldright-handedwomanwasadmittedtothehospitalanddischargedthesamedayfollowinganuneventfulendovascularrepair(coilembolization)ofanasymptomaticaneurysm.Shereturnedtotheemergencydeparment(ED)onthenextdaywithfeverandconfusion.Shewasdescribedbyfamilyasdoingwellinthemorning,butvomitingseveraltimesafterlunch.Shealsoshowedabriefbutsustaineddeviationoftheeyesandheadtotheleft,followedbyclonicmovementsofthelefthemibody.OnherwaytotheED,sheshowedamnesiaforrecenteventsandrepeatedlyaskedwhyshewasgoingtothehospital.Infact,shecouldnotrecalleventsthatoccurredina2-weekperiodsurroundingneurosurgery.
女，60岁，右利手，因无医院接受血管内治疗（弹簧圈栓塞术），并于当天顺利出院。因出现发热和意识模糊，次日她再次就诊于急诊（ED）。家属描述患者当天上午状态良好，但午饭后出现呕吐数次。并出现头及眼向左的短暂但持续的偏斜，随后出现左侧偏身阵挛发作。在去往急诊的路上，她表现出近事遗忘，反医院。事实上，她已经无法记起神经外科术前2周的事情。
